Strategic Account Manager – Pharmaceuticals & Healthcare

For one of our clients we are looking for a Strategic Account Manager – Pharmaceuticals & Healthcare. As a part of the Business Development team you reassure the strategic growth of this business unit towards the future.

  • The Strategic Account Manager – Pharmaceuticals & Healthcare is responsible to manage existing and new client relations; assuring client satisfaction and enabling further account development
  • You take ownership of logistics/ warehousing tender participation within the Pharmaceuticals & Healthcare industry
  • In cooperation with the BD and Engineering team you ensure sharp and profitable tender participation and followup and execute all administration
  • As process owner you are responsible from initiating the first contact within the tender process until the closing and singing of the services contract
  • You are responsible to maintain in direct contact with clients and prospects to ensure lead generation towards tenders and concrete service needs
  • As part of the Business Development team you keep up to date about the last trends and technologies within the Pharmaceuticals & Healthcare logistics industry and deliver quality input towards engineering/ management, ensuring the organization isn't missing out on new opportunities
  • You will be responsible to initiate/ take part of continuous improvement projects

Description

  • The Strategic Account Manager – Pharmaceuticals & Healthcare has a degree in commerce, supply chain or economics
  • You have at least 5-10 years experience in a commercial role in the Pharmaceutical or Contract Logistics (or both) industry
  • You have a trackrecord in selling complex and process driven solutions towards clients
  • The Strategic Account Manager – Pharmaceuticals & Healthcare doesn't necessarily needs to be a "hunter" profile, but you have profound knowledge and experience in guiding leads into signed service contracts
  • You are sensitive towards all aspects of the commercial process, making you an expert in finding and closing deals on service needs of prospects
  • The Strategic Account Manager – Pharmaceuticals & Healthcare has an analytical mind and is able to translate concepts into concrete contracts
  • Experience in commercial processes with extensive lead times (6-12 months)
  • You are a true team player
  • The organization is operation on a national level, so fluency in NL/ FR and preferably ENG is required
